The New Age ATMs?
Filed Under Apps, Life? | Leave a Comment
ATMs have now become more than just Cash rendering machines. In order to keep up to the technological developments, the UK based communication giant has joined hands with Cashbox to enable the ATM hubs as WiFi enabled hot spots so that you can browse the net, surf your mailbox or play games even in the ATMs.
The two companies have come into a deal for 5 years by means of which, the service will be available in 10 different Cashbox’s client locations including those in London, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, Agenda Abacus and many other places.
The CEO of Cashbox, Mr. Ciaran Mortan said that as a customer focused business they were trying to extend exciting incentives.
Chris Bruce, the general manager of BT openzone said that the WiFi had much of demand in the leisure and hospitality sector and also added that this service can be connected up to 19,000 residential and commercial hot spots in UK and also Ireland. This includes air stations, hotels and coffee shops also.
The major lesson out of this techy move is that Wi-Fi networks will soon become a household name as that of the GSM and 3G connectivity. Soon the ATMs in and around UK will even serve as browsing centers, gaming consoles and music stations, thus increasing the cash transactions as well.
What’s more, you can even make cheap VoIP calls as well, so you get the best of both worlds!

The other specs remain the same in both these smartphones, including the Windows Mobile 3.5 Professional Operating System, FM Tuner as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack for high quality music output.
The users will also get the Windows market place to get their hands on the favourite apps.
However, there’s no update on the availability yet. It’s just the time for the fans to feel good about the fact that their favourite company has entered the smartphone arena too.
