Sure thing, everyone was extremely disappointed with the fact that the iPhone 2.0, and even the iPhone 3G did not have an in-built GPS receiver, but soon this problem was rooted out by certain third party apps. The latest of them all happens to be the Tom Tom App, which will soon hit the App Store (everyone’s badly awaiting the launch actually).

• Gomite’s LocoGPS: This happens to be a small black box, which sits on the rear side of your iPhone effortlessly serving as an efficient web server for various purposes, especially for establishing connectivity with the GPS receiver

• Tom Tom App: It is supposed to be the best GPS app for iPhone, which will hit the App Store in a feww weeks time & bring along map as well as live navigation and a car-kit for the iPhone and the iTouch.

• iGPS 360 module: Developed by xWaves and marketed by Orange gadgets, the iGPS 360 module is an external GPS receiver exclusivley built for the iPhones and iPod Touch. But, unfortunately they work only on the jailbroken iPhone models.

• Gi Fi: It provides cross platform support, and high degree of flexibilty too. It can operate with 1.1, 2.2 as well as iPhone’s 3.0 firmware update.

So, don’t be just upset about the fact that your iPhone lacks the much needed GPS support, and make use of these 4options to navigate with your favourite iPhone. If you don’t have a jailbroken iPhone, you need to wait for the official launch of the Tom Tom App!

Iphone’s will hopefully catch up with GPS, it seems like they can do everything else so why not GPS too. Tom Tom’s are really good though meanwhile, they’ll get you where your going simply enough.

Personally I prefer Itouch over the Iphone, but either of them set up with gps will give you everything you need.
