There was a time when the famous music band U2 did loads of promotion of Apple iPods, but things have changed pretty fast. Now, it’s the U2-Blackberry era and U2 is all set to release a special mobile music album for the Blackberry users.
Yes, you got it right, U2 plans on entering the mobile music arena, but the million dollar question that remains unanswered is the sheer fact that will Blackberry/RIM/U2 trio be ever able to compete with the Apple’s caliber?
Moreover, U2 could have done lot better in the mobile music field with the support of Apple’s legendary iTunes and the App store that has already crossed 1billion downloads.
As per the current scenario, the Blackberry users will be able to share the U2 music videos, and probably Blackberry may even include a dedicated app to help the cause. But, again it makes you wonder how many folks will really download it from the Blackberry App World, and what could have been the count, had it been featured in the Apple
s iTunes store!
Too many unsaid and unheard things are heating up the arena, and apparently U2 hasn’t really shared even a word regarding this launch officially, nevertheless the Blackberry/RIM/U2 trio looks confident enough of pulling out something fantastic.
Blackberry/RIM duo is also planning to introduce the services of the Blackberry App World to the worldwide audience in the countries like France, Italy and the other European countries some time by the end of third quarter.
Furthermore, they’re planning to expand it in Asian markets, with India and China being the biggest targets. Apparently, they’re also developing dedicated apps too, so let’s wait and watch the show!

Not able to believe your own eyes? Yeah, that’s true! You’ve read it perfectly right, and there’s nothing to worry about your eyesight.
The biggest software giant Microsoft plans to play a tricky move for the first time. Indeed, now Microsoft is planning to contribute to the open-source revolution by releasing the first ever Microsoft-branded Anti-virus protection program in the market.
Sure thing, it wouldn’t be as powerful as the premium ones like Norton, Kaspersky, Avira, MacAfee and the likes of them, nevertheless it will offer the basic protection – more like the AVG free does (though you can’t bet that Microsoft will be able to compete with AVG so easily).
As per the currently available information, Microsoft in carrying out rigorous internal testing, and will be shortly rolling out the beta versions of the Microsoft Morro FREE anti-virus software, which will ensure protection from rootkits, viruses, spyware, as well as the deadly trojans.
The critics have a different opinion about this. They’re suspecting that Microsoft is playing smart by releasing a free BETA version, and soon after the product attains a decent level of publicity – the good times of FREE distribution will be over. And, thereafter the Microsoft Morro will become just another paid product from the house of Microsoft.
On the other hand, Microsoft has not really given out any signs of changing the product as a paid-subscription, from the freeware version.
So let us wait and watch the show, and see what Microsoft really comes out with and what has the Morro got to offer!
